Versailles in winter: a two-day itinerary

Winter is our favourite season in Versailles. Light grows rare and precious. Crowds thin. The Palace feels almost intimate again. Here is our one-day itinerary, tested by our teams.

Day 1

Coffee and a snack at The Stray Bean, coffee shop on rue Royale. Lunch on rue Satory (Inspi, Maison Satory, Le Limousin…). Evening at La Table du 11 or Bœuf à la Mode.

For a real weekend, arrive Friday late afternoon and leave Sunday late morning. Two nights beat one. Winter needs time to be savoured. Rates are gentler too.
